This e-learning resource is based on the premise that ‘mental health is every bodies business' (The National Assembly for Wales 2001) and of concern to a wide variety of practitioners and professionals working in a variety of diverse settings, for example schools, the social sector, juvenile justice, charity and youth work.
The Objectives of this e learning resource being
1. To enhance the front line workers' knowledge and understanding of children and young people's emotional wellbeing and mental health.
2. To introduce the frontline workers to tools that they can use when supporting young people who are experiencing emotional difficulties.
3. To promote the workers' better understanding of children and young peoples' lived experiences by encouraging reflection on personal attitudes and values.

This e learning resource has been written by a team of writers from differing professional backgrounds who are experts in the mental health field.
The course is divided into 11 Modules namely:

It is designed to be easily accessible in the workplace, acknowledges that most workers are busy and need to have flexible learning arrangements and those who commission courses need a cost effective option.
Students will need to complete and return 11 key Assessed Tasks which will be marked by a University Tutor in order to gain Certification on the course.
Upon successful completion of this course each student will have earned 10 CAT points at Level 4 accredited by the University of Northampton and student will receive a certificate from the university validating their achievement.
